                My name is Zach Mason; I am from Holliston, MA. I am a freshman here at Nichols College and I play football at the school. I’m majoring in Sport Management and hope that it will lead me to a career in the sports industry when I get older. My main hobby is sports; I have loved both playing and watching sports throughout my entire life. Sports have basically been my entire life for as long as I can remember. I started playing soccer, hockey, and baseball when I was four maybe five years old and I played them through high school. I decided to walk on to the football team here at Nichols because it had always been my favorite sport. I love listening to and getting music, especially hip hop/rap. I spend a decent amount of my free time here downloading new albums and putting them onto my phone. A little known fact about me is that ever since kindergarten I was in French Immersion, so I had French classes from kindergarten through senior year of high school. I can speak French fluently but I have never been a fan of speaking in French for other people, not even my family. I got a four on the AP exam which gave me credits coming into college. I did not try at all in high school which led to my having a below average GPA, but so far in college my grades have been substantially better.

                I do not really know what to expect to learn from this class. I’m assuming we will learn about computer functions and the making of websites/word documents. I would like to learn how to make a high quality website.

                The blog that I found that interests me was one on the New England Patriots written by Mike Reiss. There are a number of differently blog entries on this one link, all revolving the Patriots, their players, and their matchup versus the Baltimore Ravens in this weekend’s AFC Championship game. It interests me because I love sports as I said earlier and the Patriots are my favorite team. The blog is credible because it is on ESPN.com which is the website for the worldwide leader in sports and was written by a writer that has appeared on SportsCenter numerous times which is the leading sports news program on television.
